The Digs, Ocelot Records 10 Year Reunion Show

When Steve Knowles of Ocelot Records announced a 10-year reunion show a couple of months ago, I knew it would be an emotional day, but I did not expect the sheer energy that came off the stage from 5 incredible Boston bands who brought more than their A-game.
Knowles’ own 3-peice punk and roll outfit The Digs were the first to kick things off, their first time back together since roughly 2018 this time joined by Steve’s brother Matt on guitar. Frontman Jeff Demas’ songwriting was always a standout for me among Boston artists, combining elements of classic American rock n’ roll with the angst and manic energy of mid-2000’s pop-punk. Hell, one of their best tunes even claims this descriptor as its title!
Combine this with a room full of old friends, some who hadn’t been together at a show in years, and it started this marathon of a punk show off with a bang!
